Best PS5 Games: Playstation 5 Exclusive Titles

Wondering which PS5 games are currently the best and what else to look forward to? Then you are in the right place. The range of fun for the PS5 is developing into a real hit. While the list of launch titles was a bit more manageable, a look ahead to the coming months offers us some fascinating Playstation 5 games.

We’ve picked out all the hits here, from upcoming PS5 games to PS5 exclusives; everything is included. So, let’s get started – happy browsing!

GOD FALL

Godfall is one of the exclusive PS5 games available at release. In development by Borderlands developer Gearbox in collaboration with Counterplay Games (a studio that worked on God of War), Godfall falls within the newer loot-slasher genre. The role-playing game takes place in a fantasy environment and lets you step into the footsteps of a noble order of knights.

The loot slasher combines Borderlands’ “loot-to-win” mechanics with good old-fashioned player skill, where the goal is to reward the player for their “skill”. Ergo, the “grind” takes a back seat. Instead, the gameplay focuses on the player’s skill to get better gear and progress in the game.

You will team up with friends to battle your way through the realms of Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Spirit. Each of these levels presents its devastating challenges. In the meantime, there have already been some updates and new content for the game, which has brought a breath of fresh air. Worth a look for ARPG friends because the combat system is enjoyable.

GOD OF WAR: Ragnarök

God of War Ragnarök is set to pick up after the events of 2018’s God of War, continuing Kratos’ story in the frozen north. The short teaser trailer doesn’t give us much – you only see the omega symbol with some runes, but still 2021 as the release date.

According to rumours, the new God of War will again focus on Kratos’ son Atreus, who should play a significant role. We don’t know exactly what to expect here, but God of War Ragnarok will be one of the best PS5 games.

SPIDER-MAN: Miles Morales

Spider-Man was one of the best games of the last generation, and Insomniac knows that. Because here’s a sequel ready for the PS5 launch.

While Insomniac and Sony caused a lot of confusion with the announcement of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we know it’s a standalone game, and it’s meant to be somewhere between a story expansion and a full sequel. Miles may have a similar costume to Peter Parker, but he also has many unique powers, allowing PS5 players to reinterpret Insomniac’s famous wall-climbing formula.

Destruction Allstars

Destruction Allstars, another brand new franchise, looks set to revive one of PlayStation’s long-forgotten greats. You could say you get a Destruction Derby combined with Onrush’s team-based continuous action and Twisted Metal’s unique character design.

Judging by the trailer, it looks enjoyable and, without a doubt, has tons of multiplayer potential. Rush around with souped-up high-tech cars, smash others in Rocket League style and survive in a Battle Royale arena. In addition, this is a game that will be released exclusively for the PS5. We will play it and look forward to the action!

KENA: Bridge Of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of the Spirits is an enchanting story-driven action-adventure game with cute characters and could be the PS5 equivalent of Breath of the Wild. The PS5 game comes from a new game company with experience in film animation, seen in the unique visual style.

It is all about finding a small team of cuddly spirit companions called “The Rot” and improving their skills. You’ll also need to find new ways to manipulate the environment or advance with platformer acrobatics.

Gameplay-wise there is a mix of 3D platforming, melee mechanics and exploration. With the help of your cute companions, you will certainly have to solve one or two puzzles. Although Kena is not a revelation in terms of gameplay and story, the game offers you a lot of variety in the boss fights and the different types of opponents.

Demon’s Souls

Over a decade ago, From Software made its first foray into action RPGs. And while its spiritual successor became the game that set the studio in motion, Demon’s Souls paved the way for precise combat mechanics, labyrinthine levels, and unrelentingly tough boss fights.

Bluepoint Games is responsible for the remake of the classic (which was only available on the PS3) and aims to combine the charm of the original with the power of the new generation hardware. The “new” Demon’s Souls should not only be a bland copy of the original but also add new elements.

If you missed it then, now’s your chance again on the PS5. But beware: this classic will have you throwing your brand new PS5 DualSense controller angrily around the room. We warned you!

DEATHLOOP

With their latest stroke of genius, Deathloop, developer Arkane Lyon (the studio that worked on Prey, the Dishonored games, and the newest Wolfenstein sequels) is looking to do their own thing. You play a guy named Colt who is trapped in a time warp, and he’s constantly being hunted down and killed – just for the entertainment of paying customers (reminds me of a Black Mirror episode).

Some elements look like they were pulled straight out of Dishonored. But with a unique looking world and some interesting characters, we’re still excited. Because the gameplay seems more than good with a mix of sneaking and shooting around. Oh, and don’t forget the other player-controlled assassin that wants to finish you off.

We are excited and looking forward to this first-person tactical shooter with brilliant graphics.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Ubisoft has confirmed that the next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. It isn’t an exclusive PS5 game, but it’s sure to be another brilliant work.

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the player takes on the role of the Viking Eivor, who leads his clan from his native Norway to the dark medieval shores of England – in hopes of finally settling down. But Anglo-Saxon resistance won’t exactly make it easy.

This new Assassin’s Creed game leans more towards RPG elements and allows players to build and manage settlements, scour towns for resources, form alliances and even customize their character. Some gameplay videos already know that there will, unfortunately, be fewer stealth elements. Also, PS4 players can upgrade to the PS5 version of Valhalla for free.

Horizon Forbidden West

Aloy returns in another graphically stunning adventure – Horizon Zero Dawn 2, or Forbidden West, is set to hit the PS5. This time, in the PS5 sequel Horizon Forbidden West, the warrior will battle robotic dinosaurs in post-apocalyptic California, where new tribes and monsters have taken root. Everything should be even more significant, beautiful, and blatant than the first part (which was already one of the best PS4 games).

In terms of gameplay, the mechanics appear to be similar to its predecessor, and it’s set to once again be an open-world epic, with glittering beaches and dizzying mountains. It was quickly the most visually stunning game during the PS5 launch, and this is where the generational leap showed. We can hardly wait!

FAR CRY 6

Far Cry has never been a game that shied away from dangerous territory. And it looks like the next entry in the series will continue that tradition. Far Cry 6 seeks to transport players into the heart of a war-torn dictatorship where everyone’s favourite villain, Giancarlo Esposito, is the star.

Far Cry 6 is set in a “time-trapped tropical paradise” called Yara. Yara is controlled by dictator Anton Castillo (played by Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito), who, with the help of his son Diego, wants to bring paradise back to glory – no matter the cost. However, a revolution is taking place in Yara aimed at dethroning Castillo. We players then take on the role of the protagonist Danny, a revolutionary fighting against Castillo.

The setting sounds promising, and the gameplay footage seen so far is excellent in many ways. The graphics look stunning, and the gripping story and the brutal gameplay leave you wanting more.

RESIDENT EVIL 8

Not a PS5 exclusive game, but Resident Evil 8 deserves a place on our leaderboard. While the series has recently focused on remakes of classic survival horror adventures Resident Evil 2 and 3, it seems that the future of the series lies in the first-person view.

Resident Evil 8: Village also makes a bold return to the spooky European setting of the series’ climax, Resident Evil 4, on PS5. From werewolf-like monsters to the return of Chris Redfield, it looks as terrifying as it is beautiful.

Despite the first-person perspective, the good old Resi feeling comes across well, and the first half of the game, in particular, makes you want to explore. The gameplay is excellent; only the puzzles (again) fall short. Nevertheless, we can warmly recommend the 8th part of the series.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo Is A New Ps5 Exclusive, And Shinji Mikami And Tango Dreamworks Are At Work Here. Here, The City Of Tokyo Has Been Depopulated By An Abnormal Occult Event, And Evil Spirits Are Wreaking Havoc. It Has All The Hallmarks Of Modern Japanese Horror, Right Down To Creepy Schoolgirls And Faceless Ghost Figures.

You Play As One Of The City’s Survivors Who Develops His Superpowers During The Mysterious Event. So It’s Up To You To Defend The City Against The Evil Forces With Super Abilities. This Creative First-Person Adventure Is Also Reminiscent Of Dishonored, At Least In Terms Of Gameplay, But It Looks Impressive, And The Trailer Promises A Lot.

Hit Man 3

Hitman 3 Ended The World Of Assassination Storyline That Began With The Series Reboot In 2016.

Io Interactive Has Been Hard At Work On The Third Entry In Its Reinvention Of The Series. More Creative Level Designs, Increasingly Over-The-Top (In A Good Sense) Killing Techniques, And A More Elaborate Story Are Just A Few Of The Game’s Positives. Hitman 3 Offers An Excellent Sequel To The Distinctive But Popular Schleich Series.

The Basics Haven’t Changed Since 2016, But The Collection Of Special Missions Makes For Tons Of Fun. Six Maps May Sound Small, But Each Is Huge And Designed To Be Played Multiple Times – And Even Then, It’s Doubtful That You’ve Discovered All Of Its Creative And Surprising Murder Possibilities.

Gran Turismo 7

While Gran Turismo Isn’t The Pretty Groundbreaking Franchise, It Was In The Ps1 And Ps2 Days; Developer Polyphony Digital Is Still The Master At Pushing Current Hardware To The Max (To Reflect In-Game Realism Better). With Significantly Better Specs Under The Ps5’s Hood (Including The Difference Ray Tracing Makes To Textures And Lighting In Racing Games), Gran Turismo 7 Looks To Be An Early Tech Test For Sony’s New Generation Of Hardware.

So One Of The Old Greats Of Racing Games Returns To The Ps5, Just As We Had Hoped. The New Instalment Seems To Set Standards Again In Terms Of Graphics Quality And Realism. There Is Also A Revised Campaign Mode, Making It Easier For New Players In The Series To Get Started. Unfortunately, We Don’t Have A Release Date For The Game Yet.

Hood: Outlaws And Legends

Not Many Details Were Given During The Hood: Outlaws And Legends Announcement. The 3rd Person Perspective Medieval Action Game Features Pvpve Gameplay, Similar To Games Like Hunt: Showdown.

Two Teams Of Rival Gangs Pull Off Heists Stealing From The Rich. However, Ai Guards Also Come Onto The Radar, Which Should Be Pretty Tricky. We See A Lot Of Fun Potential Here, Especially For The Multiplayer Mode, But Unfortunately, The Game Won’t Be Released Until 2021.

Sumo Newcastle Developed The Game, The Team Behind Eve: Valkyrie, And Published By Focus Home Interactive (Farming Simulator, Snowrunner, A Plague Tale, Greedfall).

Oddworld: Soulstorm

Oddworld: New & Tasty Has Remade Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssey For The Ps4 Generation. And It Looks Like Oddworld: Soulstorm Will Do The Same With Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus On The Ps5. So You Can Expect That Familiar Mix Of 2.5d Platforming, Resource Management, And Puzzles. New & Tasty Managed To Revamp A Retro Classic While Introducing Some Welcome New Features. And Soulstorm Did The Same Thing When It Came Out For The Ps5.

Also, In Soulstorm, You Follow The Protagonist Of The Series: Abe. Together With His Mudoken Colleagues, He Instigates An Uprising Against The Exploiting Capitalist Overlords (The Glukkons). Whether You’re Into Classic Puzzle-Solving Or Outfitting Your Companions With Items To Help You, Oddworld: Soulstorm Gives You Plenty Of Choices For Different Approaches.

There’s Plenty To Do To Add To Those Light Rpg Elements, Leaderboards, Trophies, And An Achievement System. Abe’s New Adventure Is Worth Checking Out!

Project Athia

Project Athena Is A Brand New Ps5 Game From None Other Than The Creators Of Final Fantasy Games Square Enix. Not Much Is Known Here Either, But It Appears To Be An Open-World Action-Adventure Game Where You’ll Encounter Creatures (Including Dragons).

You Play As A Robed (Extremely Agile) Woman Who Leaps Through The Wilds And Even Controls The Wildlife. She Faces Off Against Many Different Monsters, From Wolf-Like Creatures To Giant Eyeball Beasts, While Surrounded By Beautiful Scenery. Although There Is Not Much To Say About The Story Or The Mechanics, The Trailer Promises A Lot In Addition To Bombastic Graphics.

Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart

Another Ps5 Exclusive To Look Forward To. Rift Apart Is A Brand New Ratchet And Clank Instalment And Looks Like A Pixar Film Brought To Life. As A Colourful, Child-Friendly Platform Shooter Hybrid, This Part Is Again Suitable For The Whole Family.

The Ps5’s New Ssd Storage System Comes Into Its Own Here, As You’ll Have Fluid Transitions Between All The Worlds Here (With The Latest Rift Portals) And Highly Detailed Graphics. That Wasn’t Possible On Last-Generation Consoles. Expect Plenty Of Classic Ratchets & Clank Gameplay: Dodge, Jump, Shoot, Platform, And More – And It All Looks Great. There Are Also New Enemies, New Moves, Lots Of New Levels And Mechanics. The New Ratchet & Clank Is One Of The Best Ps5 Games Out There.

Returnal

Returnal Is Also A Ps5 Exclusive Game. This Title Comes From Arcade Shooter Specialists Housemarque, But It Turned Out To Be Different From The Forge’s Previous Games. In This 3rd Person Shooter, You Are Stuck On An Alien Planet That Transforms Every Time You Die.

As The Game Progresses, You Will Meet New Creatures And Learn New Powers That Will Make You Stronger And Affect Your Humanity. There Is Also A Lot Of Action In Shooting Around, Cool Enemies And Breathtaking Graphics.

What Sets Returnal Apart From Other Action Titles Is Its Roguelike Nature. Whenever You Die (Which You Will Often Do), You’ll Return To Your Spaceship And Lose Everything You Collected On Your Previous Run. While This Makes Returnal Very Difficult, It Also Makes The Game Very Varied As Each New Run Is Regenerated, And You Never Know If You’ll Find The Perfect Combination Of Gear And Upgrades This Time.

The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum

The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum Is A New Game From The German Developer Daedalic Entertainment (Known For Many Points And Click Adventures) That Will Probably Be Released In 2021 On The Ps5 And All Other Platforms.

The Gollum-Themed Lotro Game Is An Action-Adventure That, As You’d Expect, Focuses On The Ring-Possessed Creature. According To Daedalic, The Narrative Game Tells Gollum’s Story From An Unprecedented Perspective While Still Staying True To The Books.

The Game Begins In Barad-Dur, A Mordor Stronghold Where Gollum Is Held Against His Will. However, The Developers Assured Us That There Would Be Other Substantial Open Environments To Explore.

In Terms Of Gameplay, The Intention Is To Focus On Stealth And Platforming And Not Give Gollum Too Many Abilities. So, True To Gollum’s Character, It’s More About Cunning Than Talent Trees. Part Of The Game Will Also Focus On Gollum’s Inner Struggle With His Alter Ego Smeagol. Here You Will Have To Make Many Decisions That Affect The Course Of The Game.

Watch Dog’s Legion

Up To Four People Can Play Cooperatively In The Latest Instalment Of The Role-Playing Action Game, With Your Progress Being Carried Over From The Single-Player Mode. In Watch Dogs Legion, You Build A Team From A Roster Of Different Characters, Each With Their Unique Skills. You Move Through London In An Open-World Manner And Complete Numerous Missions.

Since You Can Recruit Almost Any Npc In Town For Your Team, You Will Have Various Options For Approaching The Multiple Tasks Or Missions. Ps4 Players Can Also Upgrade To The Ps5 Version For Free Here.

Outriders

The Co-Op Shooter Outriders Takes Place In A Science Fiction Universe And Comes With Some Rpg Elements. In A World Called Enoch, Humanity Tried To Colonize The Globe But Triggered Something Terrible. In Outriders, Like In Destiny Or The Division 2, Loot Also Plays A Vital Role In Addition To Shooting.

Outriders Offer Excellent Sci-Fi Action, A Motivating Multiplayer Mode, An Exciting World, And A Creature Design That Overlooks Some Weaknesses. Sometimes, A Rather Lacklustre Story And Annoying Menu Navigation And Minor Technical Problems Don’t Detract From The Whole Thing. Farming Is Fun In Outriders, Especially When You Want To Kill Your Enemies With Many Friends.

The Combination Of Co-Op And Rpg Is Unique, Especially When Square Enix (Creators Of The Incredible Final Fantasy Series) Gets Their Hands On It.

Cyberpunk 2077

For Those Who Haven’t Heard Of The Game (Where Do You Live, Please?), Cyberpunk Is An Open-World Role-Playing Game Set In A Futuristic, Dystopian California. It Looks A Bit Like Gta In The Future And With Better Graphics.

The Game Features An Open World And Allows The Player To Choose From Eight Different “Edge Runners” Who Serve Society In Night City (The Fictional Setting For The Game’s Story). There Is Also A Vast Map To Explore, Many Decisions That Affect The Course Of The Game, A Deep World To Immerse Yourself In, Extremely Excellent Graphics, Cybernetic Upgrades And Futuristic Weapons.

Cyberpoint Is One Of The Best Ps5 Games Despite Initial Difficulties And Overhype. Those Who Buy The Ps4 Version Of The Game Can Play It On The Ps5 (In Case You Decide To Buy A Ps5) – Backwards Compatibility Makes It Possible.

Hogwarts Legacy

The Hogwarts Legacy Will Be An Action-Rpg Set In The Harry Potter Universe For Playstation 5 And All Other Platforms In 2021. Set In The Late 19th Century, It Is Set Well Before Voldemort’s Rise And The Murder Of Lily And James Potter. You Create Your Character And Progress Through Hogwarts School Of Wizardry And Witchcraft.

Here You Will Discover Hogwarts’ Past In This Fascinating Role-Playing Game, Brewing Potions, Learning Spells And Fighting Fantasy Beasts. The Whole Thing Will Be Open-World, So There Will Be A Lot To Explore. Both Harry Potter Fans And Rpg Fans Should Get Their Money’s Worth Here. The Trailer Looks Promising, And We Are Excited!

Stray

Do You Like Cats, Neon Lights And Robots? Then Stray Might Be The Perfect Game For You. Stray Is A Futuristic Title Where Robots Have Replaced Humans. The Teaser Features A Cat Wandering Through A Robot-Occupied And Neon-Infused City, Crossing Streets, Climbing Pipes And Exploring Buildings.

Although There Are No Exact Gameplay Details, It Seems Clear That The Game Will Mainly Focus On Exploring The Environment. According To A Blog Post By A Stray Developer, There Will Also Be Puzzle And Action Scenes. Lost And Alone, You Must Solve An Ancient Mystery With A Stray Cat To Escape A Long-Forgotten Cybercity And Find Your Way Home.

We Are Looking Forward To The Stealthy 3rd Person Gameplay And Are Ready For Our First Adventure As A Cat.

Batman Gotham Knights

This Sequel To The Arkham Series Of Batman Games Is Coming In 2021, But It Has Some Key Differences From Its Predecessors. For One, Batman Isn’t Even There: You Play As Batgirl (Melee Combat & Hacking), Nightwing (Acrobatics), Red Hood (Weapons Specialist) Or Robin (Stealth Gameplay), Each With Their Unique Fighting Style.

There Is Also A Two-Player Co-Op Mode Supported Throughout The Game. In Addition, Each Character Will Have A Unique Skill Tree And Specific Equipment While Gaining Experience Through Activities In The Open World.

In Addition, The Game Will Feature Multiple Different Story Arcs, Similar To Batman: Arkham Knight. With Multiple Playable Characters, A Massive World Map, And Plenty Of Other Gameplay Features, This Batman Instalment Will Hit Like A Comet.
