Intel Atom new generation released in the third quarter of 2009
The current generation of processors Intel Atom, so popular among mobile electronics manufacturers, based on the kernel Diamondville. The success resulted from a decision as a high-performance microchips, and very low power processors, which allows them to produce netbook a long time, autonomous work. And now developers are preparing the next generation of processors Atom, which will become the basis for Pineview.
As in the case of Diamondville-decisions, their followers will be produced in two versions - uninuclear and dual-core, with plans to implement support technology HyperTreading. However, will be made and significant changes, in particular, it is planned to equip integrated circuit graphics controller and the nucleus of RAM standard DDR2. Moreover, instead of the traditional system bus interface will be used Direct Media Interface (DMI) - the decision implemented in processors Nehalem.
Unfortunately, so far unknown characteristics of the remaining cost of new generation microprocessors, and likely more will be known closer to the third quarter of 2008, which is scheduled to release devices.
