A series of N9800GT MSI: different cooler, different frequencies
Simultaneously with the official release of the graphic adapter GeForce 9800 GT from NVIDIA company Micro-Star International (MSI) announced the issue of a new series of graphics cards N9800GT, which included several original design models on the basis of this decision.
Immediately want to note that in all accelerators apply more effective than the reference sample, alternative active air cooling systems, with versions MSI N9800GT-T2D512, MSI N9800GT-T2D512-OC and MSI N9800GT-T2D1G-OC used their own design manufacturer, then changed as MSI N9800GT Zilent equipped with cooler from Zalman.
Each of the new products has 112 streaming processors, manufactured under the bus PCI Express 2.0 x16, equipped with GDDR3 memory with a 256 - bit interface, compatible with DirectX 10.0 Shader Model 4.0, supports technology NVIDIA Lumenex Engine, NVIDIA Quantum Effects Technology, NVIDIA PureVideo HD Technology, NVIDIA nView Multi-display Technology, NVIDIA CUDA Technology, NVIDIA PhysX Technology and NVIDIA SLI Technology (2 configuration allows the organization-Way SLI), as well as equipped with a pair of connectors Dual-Link DVI (HDCP) and one HDTV-output. If, however, talk about differences, they are:
- MSI N9800GT-T2D512 - 512 MB of video, 600/1800 MHz frequency (kernel / memory);
- MSI N9800GT-T2D512-OC and MSI N9800GT Zilent - 512 MB of video, 660/1900 MHz frequency (kernel / memory);
- MSI N9800GT-T2D1G-OC - 1024 Mb video, 660/1800 MHz frequency (kernel / memory).
European online stores already offer MSI N9800GT-T2D512-OC at a price of 135 euros, but the market value of other novelties no information yet.
