Toshiba Qosmio notebooks with 4 - nuclear chips SpursEngine
The Japanese company Toshiba proudly announced expansion of its popular product line notebook Qosmio AV two new series Qosmio G50 and the Qosmio F40. A special feature series models G50 and F40 will Stream media processor Toshiba Quad Core HD Processor SpursEngine SE1000 (based on the Cell Broadband Engine architecture from Sony), about which we have already told in detail in our news tape.
Currently, portable computer stations are often used to work with high-definition video, which creates a huge burden on the central processor. The new laptops Qosmio G50 and F40, to approve Toshiba, this burden shifted to the quad-chip SpursEngine, which copes with the dignity with such intensive tasks, such as conversion of standard video formats in high-definition formats (HD Video).
In their updates Toshiba implemented a number of interesting features and capabilities:
- High-resolution function - scaling function DVD-quality video format HD;
- Five regimes videotape - TS mode (MPEG-2, 17 Mbps), XP mode (H.264, 10 Mbps), SP mode (H.264, 8 Mbps), LP mode (H.264 , 5.5 Mbps), LLP mode (H.264, 2 Mbps);
- The compression in real-time HD video codec H.264;
- Face Navigation - a function of recognition and remember those in the video, provides for the establishment of an indexed search for video clips;
- Gesture Control (only Qosmio G50) - management computer gestures carried out using special software and CCD sensor.
